About Me
I’m Mim, founder of POP Therapy. I’m a Play Therapist with a passion for helping children and families rediscover joy, connection, and healing. My work is grounded in neuroscience and attachment research, and shaped by a deep belief that play has the power to heal. I’ve worked in schools, communities, and with families all my life, and I’m committed to building partnerships that bring light into places of darkness. Through POP Churches, I combine my therapeutic expertise with my heart for faith communities, equipping churches to become hubs of hope for vulnerable children and families.
About My Project
POP Churches is a partnership between POP Therapy and Christian Play Therapists or local churches, bringing light, joy, and hope to families struggling with emotional and mental health challenges. With NHS services overstretched, many children wait years for support. POP Churches empowers churches to respond — opening buildings for Play Therapy, partnering to offer Play Therapy to families in need, and training volunteers to run early intervention wellbeing mentoring or whole family after school clubs. Grounded in neuroscience and attachment research, our work is evidence-based, values-driven, and rooted in joy. Together, we can ensure families know this truth: you matter, you are loved, and you are not alone.
