About Me

My name is Becca, I’m married to Hennie & we have 3 (nearly grown up children). I’m an artist, designer and author and spend a lot of my time painting, designing jewellery and having God adventures!

About My Project

In 2009, I moved with my husband and three (then) tiny children to a traditional Maasai community in southern Kenya, where we founded RedTribe, a charity aimed at bringing God’s kingdom through discipleship, education, healthcare and income generation. We run a school, clinic, water and farming projects, and a beadwork enterprise that employs 20 women, creating contemporary jewellery using their traditional skills. It is the beadwork enterprise that is my main focus. Starting with just one Maasai widow and £10 worth of beads, we have grown significantly and sell our products internationally. Our profits support other projects, sponsor girls through secondary education, and help reduce the risks of FGM and early marriage.
