Project: Raise Kids Work
Location: Wymondham, Norfolk, UK
I’m the Director of Operations for Raise Kids Work – a Christian Kids Ministry.
Originally from Stockport in the North-West, I then moved to Leeds to study Public Relations at university. I now live in Wymondham, Norfolk with my wife, Fliss, and our two children.
I’m passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus with 5-11s in relevant, dynamic and fun ways.
I’ve been in full-time Kids (and youth) ministry since 2002 and as part of my work I have previously led a Scripture Union Mission week, Kids Clubs and Kids Residential weekends, mission trips to a Czech School and have loved being part of the core team for the 10-11s at New Wine for 5 years.
About My Project
Raise Kids Work is a charity that exists to advance the Christian faith and to ultimately share the good news of Jesus with 5-11s.
Raise does this through helping encourage churches through training and coming alongside them to help with events.
Raise seeks to be a positive, Christian input in schools providing one-off regular events and experiences.
In 2020 I began dreaming and planning a portable, Christian-themed, Bible-based Escape Room for Key Stage 2 children – The Puzzle Pod – Our first one based on Joseph will be up and running soon.
Escape Rooms in recent years have become increasingly popular in the UK with over 1500 being available. None of these have a Christian input and so this is where Raise Kids Work wants to create this unique experience.
The Puzzle Pod will teach and immerse the children in the stories and themes of the Bible and draw out key points helping schools to meet learning objectives, ultimately creating a memorable learning experience for the children.
Our dream is to create more than one theme, and more than one Puzzle Pod, to be able impact more schools and more children helping them unlock the stories of the Bible so ultimately they choose to follow Him.
